What do children eat at school in France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States? Here's a sneak peek thanks to the back-to-school menus in Elior canteens.

Schoolchildren's meals should always be balanced, assembled with a dietitian, but that doesn't they would all look alike.From one country to another, from one culture to another, the number of components on a school canteen tray can vary greatly: from two in the UK up to five for France!

There's less variety among favorite dishes, because children conforme to the usual clichés (nuggets in the US, pizza in Italy), except when they somehow champion an impossible-tasting recipe, such as the #1 dessert on French playgrounds: the courgette-chocolate cake!
