Close to one in five surveyed say their diet has something to do with their weight or silhouette (12% in France, 22% in Italy). Being diagnosed with diabetes, cholesterol or any other medical condition is a decisive factor for 6% of the workers, while allergies and intolerance (gluten, dairy, nuts…) are the reason for 4% of those surveyed (7% in the US, 1% in France). Vegetarian and vegan diets are also mentioned in similar proportions (5% on average), with the UK in the lead (8%) and France and Spain being seemingly less enthusiastic (2%) about this trend.
